Often times, financial services professionals and their firms are not necessarily “news-driven” organizations. Well, our philosophy is if you can’t beat ‘em, join ‘em.
Each quarter AdvisorPR produces a timely news campaign on a subject that highlights an advisor’s expertise and service offerings. Each campaign is designed to provide the media with a creative story concept, promoting the advisor as the “go-to” resource. Campaigns are based on either a national news story localized to inform your specific community on what it means to them, or a calendar-based event tied into your service offerings.
The “In the News” program includes:
• A press release or media advisory detailing a timely subject and highlighting the advisor as an expert. Sample questions are included in the release for the media’s reference and are designed to demonstrate to media the advisor’s scope of expertise, as well as suggest topics the advisor is available to comment on during a media interview.
• Backgrounder and suggested answers to sample questions. Advisors are provided all the background information needed to understand and communicate the news value of the release, and how this information relates to the local community. The suggested answers for the sample questions are included so advisors have the guidelines they need to intelligently comment during a media interview.
• A tailored media list, including local print, radio, and television contacts (if applicable in your community). The media list would include journalists and producers in your area who might be interested in learning about and possibly covering the news campaign.
Advisors can choose to have an AdvisorPR representative perform any or all of the following services on their behalf, including: distributing the news campaign in media’s desired format; call on media to follow-up and build interest; work on behalf of the advisor as a publicist; strategize with media for angles; write and facilitate any requested scripts; coordinate interviews; provide media coaching to the advisor; and collect segments and/or articles for the advisor after placement.
Advisors can choose to have AdvisorPR as the public relations counsel of record for any future or on-going public relations initiatives.
